Concrete Grinding & Polishing

We have state of the art machinery which is capable of grinding and polishing up to 200 square meters per day.

Our fleet of H.T.C 650, 3 Phase Concrete Grinding machines offer extremely high performance grinding. This machine is powerful, yet easy to manoeuvre. It has a powerful 11 kw motor which is ideal for projects that have large areas of grinding to complete. The H.T.C 650 can also be used for removing glue and coatings and cleaning and levelling of concrete.

The H T C 650 connects to our dust collection system that helps to minimise the dust generated by the grinding process. The powerful vacuum sucks most of the dust that is created to help to keep the work area clean.

A polished floor is not only very durable but it is also very attractive to look at. We can also add colours and textures to the finish of your concrete to add that special look for your polished concrete.

Concrete is a construction material composed of cement (commonly Portland cement) as well as other cementations materials such as fly ash and slag, aggregate (generally a coarse aggregate such as gravel, limestone, or granite, plus a fine aggregate such as sand), water, and chemical mixtures.

The possibilities to customise concrete as a floor are countless. The final appearance of polished concrete is influenced by the natural material and colour of the stone, the size and distribution from within the concrete new and existing.

Polished concrete is desirable for those who want a stylish easy to maintain floor that can withstand ware and tear of everyday life. There are multiple solutions in turning a basic dull grey concrete surface to a hardened abrasive resistant low maintenance flooring option. Tint can be added to create a permanent colour and combined with our polishing process; your concrete floor will be transformed into an appealing surface.

Concrete Sealing: There are a various impregnating sealers available on the market, with a life span from one to five years (dpending on the environment) before resealing is needed. Sealing minimises the capillaries stopping fluids from entering the surface though still allowing for Moisture Vapour Transmission (MVT) to occur from within the concrete.

Polished Concrete can be used in a variety of applications such as:

  • Warehousing
  • Foyers
  • Show Rooms
  • Retail Shops
  • Shopping Malls
  • Domestic Dwellings
  • School

Polished Concrete is resistant to:

  • Heat
  • Oils
  • Hydraulic Fluids
  • Industrial Chemicals
  • UV Rays
  • Abrasions
  • Dusting
  • Yellowing

Cleaning Your Concrete Surface: The cleaning is very simple: all you have to do is make sure you wipe up any spills when they occur. Cleaners containing acid should never be used for routine maintenance. Acidic cleaners, even a light solution with eventually damage the sealer.
